"Bring ProRail directly under at Ministry '
Railway manager ProRail may be better placed directly at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment.
This is suggested by former President Commissioner of ProRail Michiel Boersma Friday in Het Financieele Dagblad.
'' Perhaps an independent administrative or legal persons with statutory tasks as Rijkswaterstaat better, '' said Boersma.
'' The state as shareholder can actually do anything, because the minister is always responsible. ''
Boersma was President Commissioner of ProRail from 2010 to 2014. He knocks the current governance structure at ProRail not. '' If you want to be an activist shareholder you have to wonder whether this finding is inconsistent with an independent board and independent auditors, as with ProRail.

Key decisions for ProRail, such as the construction of a railway track, images are always taken by politics. ''
Directors are therefore put offside according to Boersma.
'' By the time the supervisory board of the company to decide about the flywheel has long been put into motion. Thus, the supervisory board is a paper tiger, '' he says.
Mansveld of State (Infrastructure) is under fire because of problems with ProRail. Tuesday showed that ProRail for projects for the period 2018-2028 is approximately 475 million euro deficit.
