City of Amsterdam cancels popular beer festival in
The city of Amsterdam has a line drawn through the West Beer Festival, because of too many entries on Facebook. Beer West would take place on May 17 at the Mercatorplein.
Meanwhile, 21,000 enthusiasts have signed up for the festival, and that would be too much for the small Mercatorplein. The municipality, together with the police decided not to want to take risks and to have to cancel on the orders of the security.
