Civic integration examination in own country may be obliged

According to a decision of the Court of Justice.
EU Member States may require migrants before reunification pass an integration exam.

In its judgment the Court held that Member States may indeed impose that immigrants before they come to the Netherlands, pass the integration exam.
But reunification therefore should not be made impossible. This court notes in particular the costs associated with making a inbugeringsexamen.
The Court of Justice shall thereby ruling in K and A, they went to court because they are not in the country wanted to take the test. This would limit their right to family reunification.

To be allowed to migrate to the Netherlands must pass an integration exam successfully.
This exam consists of a key Spoken Dutch, a key knowledge of Dutch society and a key literacy and reading comprehension.
