Decision makers about school choice Amsterdam threatened

The anger of parents of pupils who can't visit their Amsterdam school of choice may, is so high that employees of OSVO, the Association of Amsterdam school boards, are endangered.

The threats are so serious that the police is enabled and the Helpdesk of the school boards has moved to a secret location.

GRIEVANCES

In Amsterdam is much dissatisfaction with a new, complicated, matching system whereby many children miss the school of their choice. There is now a Committee where children and parents their grievances about the placement at a high school. The number of lines of the help desk for questions about the matching is extended. 

OSVO will also have personal contact with the parents of all the students that by the new matching system not in the top five of their school choice or not are placed at a school of their preferred list. The cases in which unclear seemed or a student have posted was, turn out to be caused by administrative errors, not by the system, let OSVO know.
