Higher sentence in appeal case "border corpse '

Robert-Jan B.'s appeal sentenced to twelve years in prison for the murder of his wife and hiding her body in a wheelie bin with polyurethane foam. 
 
Earlier the court in Breda had sentenced him to eleven years in prison.
 
The court expects him that he dealt in a disrespectful manner with the body of Katrina Kanyak.
 
"He put her in a wheelie bin, which injected with polyurethane foam and sealed," said Paul Frielink, press counselor of the Court in Den Bosch.
 
Missing
 
"Moreover, he has also the relatives or very difficult by first saying that his wife was missing," said Frielink. "While he knew it was different."
 
Robert-Jan B. in 2007, his 25-year-old woman, who came from Belarus, as missing. A year later the body was found in the children of the couple. The bin stood hidden in a wooden box.
 
B. has always denied that he killed his wife. His lawyer had asked for acquittal

The case is known as the case of border body, because the body on the border near the Dutch and Belgian Baarle-Nassau Baarle-Hertog was found. It was long unclear whether the body was lying on Dutch or Belgian territory.
It emerged that the body was lying on Dutch territory and the Dutch justice had jurisdiction over the murder case.
