"More shots coercion psychiatric patients'
The number of people with a psychiatric disorder being involuntarily admitted, increased by ten percent in the past five years.
That Niels Mulder, professor of Public Mental Health, picked at the request of the NIS.
These are people with a psychiatric disorder that are a danger to themselves or others. Last year there were 2323 of such coercion shots.
Every day, six or seven people in the Netherlands forcibly admitted to a psychiatric hospital because they are dangerous to themselves or others. Mayors decide on, after an assessment by a psychiatrist.
Possibly put the upward trend will continue this year. Just in 1234 considered dangerous psychiatric patients were forced incorporated in the first half of 2015.
