No ebola patient in at UMCG

The patient in the University Medical Center in Groningen does not have ebola. That has the RIVM Saturday. After various tests it turned out not to the disease.

'' The patient who at the University Medical Center Groningen is rated, is no ebola. This is confirmed by the results of the specific lab test for ebola. The isolation measures in the Hospital applied to suspicion on ebola have been lifted '', according to the RIVM.

The patient arrived Friday afternoon in Groningen. The person had previously visited an area in West Africa where ebola and had developed symptoms after coming back. The patient was therefore brought to Groningen and stayed in a specially equipped isolation room.

The UMCG is one of the three centers who have been designated as treatment center for people with ebola. It was the first time that someone in Groningen is inserted with a possible infection.

Since the ebola epidemic began in West Africa at the end of 2013, are in Dutch hospitals more than 65 people have been included in whom a ebolaverdenking gold. None of them turned out to have the disease.
