No pay cut, but 400 jobs lost at Debenhams

V & D department store and the unions have reached an agreement on salary reduction in the staff of the ailing company.
 
It was agreed that the earlier the department store group announced unilateral wage reduction is canceled. However, there is a reorganization that costs four hundred jobs.
 
This is the result of consultation between the department store with the unions, the parties left Friday knowing. A reorganization is necessary according to V & D to achieve a structural reduction in labor costs.
 
The parties have agreed on a social plan to cushion the effects of the reorganization. Also agreed on the establishment of the conditions of employment of all employees of V & D in a collective agreement.
 
It was agreed that staff as a contribution to the restoration of V & D, handing one single holiday. Furthermore, the seniors scheme will be retrenched, with existing seniors hours are respected. The unions will now reached agreement for approval at their meeting on 8 July leden.De of the court in the current appeal is canceled and the proceedings will be terminated as soon as the agreement is final.
 
Recovery
