The AMA does not function well when it comes to acute cases of caregivers who cross the line.

That says a professor of health law Johan Legemaate in an interview on the television program Monitor (KRO NCRV). He pleads to modernize the disciplinary at this point.

According to him, the Health Inspectorate (Inspectorate) insufficient resources to care providers to suspend go wrong. "That can be classified as a person has a solo practice, but not working in an institution," says Legemaate. "That's a very strange distinction."

He does not understand why Minister Edith Schippers (Health), this "still not settled is, while there is considerable concern, both in the political as well as in society, about counselors who make serious mistakes and keep risks pose to patients."
