Utrecht University again best of Netherlands

Utrecht University has again been named the best research university in the Netherlands.
It is the thirteenth consecutive year that Utrecht first Dutch educational institution has been placed in the Academic Ranking of World Universities.
The prestigious list of 500 universities are prepared annually by researchers at Jiao Tong University in Shanghai. The University of Utrecht is reflected in place 56. Then followed the University of Groningen (75) and Leiden University (82).
In the top-20 are only four European universities, the rest will come from the United States. The list is this year headed by Harvard, Stanford, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Berkeley. On the spot five comes the British Cambridge.
Researchers from Shanghai looking inter alia to the number of former students who won a Nobel Prize, and the number of articles published in the scientific journals Nature and Science.
